Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh — The Rani Avanti Bai Sagar (Bargi) Hydroelectric Power Plant has achieved its annual generation target of 508 million units (MU) 39 days ahead of schedule, marking a significant milestone in its operational performance.
Despite being 36 years old, the plant continues to deliver strong results through smooth and fault-free operation of its machines. During the year, the station maintained an impressive Plant Availability Factor (PAF) of 93 percent, even after replacement of the C&R panels in June and July.
The plant recorded no major accidents or serious machine failures, reflecting high standards of safety, reliability, and technical discipline. Efficient maintenance planning and coordinated teamwork ensured uninterrupted generation and optimal machine performance.
This achievement is the result of the dedicated efforts of the entire team, guided by the leadership of Head of Department Shri Vivek Bajhal and O&M In-charge Shri Ashrit Kumar. Their focused supervision, systematic planning, and professional management played a key role in accomplishing the target well before the scheduled timeline.
The early completion of the annual target highlights the plant’s operational excellence and its continued contribution to reliable power supply in the region.
