Instructions for the online application for admission to Std 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas for the academic year 2024-2025:

- Familiarize with Rules: Before proceeding, please familiarize yourself with the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) admission rules, regulations, and guidelines available on their official website.
- Avoid Multiple Applications: It is strongly advised not to submit multiple applications for the same child to the same Vidyalaya. If multiple registration forms are submitted, only the last application will be considered during the admission process.
- Double Shift Vidyalayas: In a double shift Kendriya Vidyalaya, each shift is treated as a separate Vidyalaya for admission purposes.
- Prepare Required Information:
- Valid Indian SIM card mobile number
- Valid email address
- Digital or scanned photograph of the child (JPEG file, maximum size 256KB)
- Scan copy of the child’s birth certificate (JPEG or PDF file, maximum size 256KB)
- Details of government certificate (if applying under economically weak section)
- Transfer details of the parent whose service credentials will be used in the application
- Two Steps for Application Submission:
- Registration: Upon successful registration, you’ll receive a unique Login Code. Keep this code safe.
- Filling and Submitting Application: Use the Login Code to log in and fill the online application form. You can choose up to three different Vidyalayas in India without any preference. After filling the form, submit it by clicking the “Submit Application” button. You’ll receive a unique Application Submission Code (different from the Login Code). Note this code and the list of original documents required for admission.
- Completion Criteria: The application process is complete only after both registration and application submission steps are done. Completing only the registration step won’t submit your application to KVS.
- OTP for Registration: Use the one-time password (OTP) sent via SMS to your registered mobile number for completing registration and application submission. Register your own mobile number (with an Indian SIM card) to avoid issues.
- Details Accuracy: Details provided during registration cannot be changed later. Enter them correctly based on documentary evidence (like the birth certificate).
- Save Application Option: The “Save Application” button allows you to save partially filled data and resume later. Remember that saving doesn’t submit the form; use the “Submit Application” button to generate the Application Submission Code.
- No Editing After Submission: Once submitted, the application form cannot be edited.
- Cancellation Option: If incorrect information is submitted, you have the option to cancel the application.
