The Indian Army has established the Signals Technology Evaluation and Adaptation Group (STEAG), an elite unit focused on researching and evaluating futuristic communication technologies for defense applications.
STEAG will explore technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), 5G, 6G, machine learning, and quantum technologies to develop tailored solutions for wired and wireless systems, including electronic exchanges, mobile communications, Software Defined Radios (SDR), Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, and advanced networks.
The establishment of STEAG aligns with the Army's strategic goal of developing technologies that are crucial for the future battlefield, emphasizing the importance of staying ahead in defense technology advancements.
