FLY91: A New Baby Born In Indian Aviation Sector. Will it have Jio Effect?

 

FLY91, a new player in India's aviation industry, launched commercial services with inaugural flights from Goa to Bengaluru and Sindhudurg. The regional carrier plans to expand to other cities like Agatti, Jalgaon, and Pune. Operating under the government's RCS UDAN scheme, FLY91 aims to enhance air connectivity from tier 2 and tier 3 towns. They offer a special fare of Rs 1,991 and flexible ticket policies initially. The airline's debut aligns with India's goal to become a leading aviation market globally.

FLY91's initial routes under the RCS UDAN scheme include destinations such as Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, and Nanded in Maharashtra, as well as Agatti in Lakshadweep, along with prominent business and leisure hubs like Bengaluru, Goa, Hyderabad, and Pune.

FLY91 provides a special fare of Rs 1,991 (all inclusive) to passengers initially. Additionally, they allow changes and cancellations of flight tickets for a nominal fee of Rs 499 per passenger per sector for a limited time.
